The Glass House

The Glass House: First Look

Moon Flower HillMarch 1, 20262 min read

A new space is coming to Moon Flower Hill in March 2027. Here's what it is, why we built it, and what to expect.

When we designed Moon Flower Hill, the Pavilion and the Veranda were built to cover most of what a gathering needs — ceremony, reception, quiet moments, loud ones. The Glass House is the one piece we knew we'd add later.

What it is

A purpose-built, glass-walled event space seating up to 500. Warm wood ceilings. Floor-to-ceiling glass on every side that matters. Cantilevered roof, brick pathway, landscape-first approach from the oak grove. It sits as its own architecture on the property — not an annex, not a tent, a building.

It's designed for the weddings and corporate events that want the full package in a single indoor space — weatherproof, climate-controlled, with the view intact.

Why we built it

Two reasons. First, Hill Country weather is what it is. The Pavilion covers most of what it throws at us, but a true all-weather reception space — at scale, with the view still doing the work — needed its own architecture.

Second, the larger weddings and corporate galas that wanted Moon Flower Hill kept running up against the same ceiling. 300 guests in the Pavilion. 500 in the Glass House. Same property. Same privacy. Different scale.

Opening timeline

  • Construction: underway — concrete and steel currently in place.
  • Interior finish work: fall 2026 through winter 2027.
  • Soft opening: Q1 2027 with a handful of pre-booked events.
  • General availability: March 2027.

What it doesn't change

Everything that makes Moon Flower Hill what it is — private use of the full property, BYOV vendor model, fifteen acres above Lake Travis — stays exactly the same. The Glass House is a new room, not a new operating model.

The best reason to build something new is that the thing you already have is working and needs to hold more people.

Be among the first

We're taking reservations for Glass House events opening dates now. If you're planning a 2027 wedding or large corporate event and want to walk the site in its current state, reach out — we'll block time for a walkthrough.
